The Door of Emptiness

Approach your practice today with emptiness.

Empty yourself of preconceived notions of how you think it is going to go—good or bad. Then watch the session unfold and work with whatever is given you.

Do not assume your practice will be peaceful. Do not assume it will be tough. Approach it fresh and free and clear and wide open. And allow yourself to tear up at the beauty of this method.

Notice how often expectation sets us up to be at conflict with the present moment.  Are there other areas of your life that you can see this play out? Are there relationships in your life that could benefit? Relationships that could thrive if you empty yourself of judgement, baggage, or anticipation before you open your mouth or touch their eyes with yours? Can you approach them fresh and free and clear and wide open?
